STILLNESS intertwines outdoor landscape images and original poems by photographic artist / author Kent Burkhardsmeier. Several weeks into the 2020 pandemic, Burkhardsmeier discovered comfort while meditating on his previously photographed nature images. The more time he spent with the prints, the more they whispered tranquility to his soul.
The poems reveal the author’s journey seeking peace in nature—through nature's universal voice of presence, centering, and hope. The images offer space for the heart and mind to wander—carefree.

AWARENESS: WHISPERS FROM NATURE
AWARENESS continues the poetic photobook journey of award-winning, landscape photographer Kent J Burkhardsmeier.
AWARENESS is the second book in the author's Whispers From Nature collection. Meditation with nature images offered the photographic artist comfort while confined indoors during the 2020 pandemic. Unwilling to travel during lockdown, Kent discovered poetry flowing forth as a new creative outlet while in the presence of his images of nature—this thoughtful interflow of words and images soothes the reader.
STILLNESS, “speaks about centering while present with nature.” Whereas AWARENESS “ponders nature's messages, insights, and her shared wisdom.” Within each combined poetry-photography spread, the author shares “uncovered inner pearls” with the reader. Kent dedicates three poems to those impacted by the 2020 pandemic.

The dawn on a new beginning shined during the spring of 2015 when Kent and Susan Burkhardsmeier formed a new entity, Orialivi LLC. The founders sought a harmonious life filled with peace and individual creativity—devoid of chaotic, corporate noise. Orialivi is a concatenation of creative names meaning peaceful dawn.
